Welcome A New Development Partner for Boosters: Verizon

Wilson Electronics has always been moved to provide customers with the best and most efficient cell phone signal amplifiers on the market. As of today, the latest FCC rules in terms of technical specifications are putting an extra pressure on manufacturers to build the best boosters destined for the general public. Wilson sees an extraordinary opportunity here to provide even more innovative and efficient products to valued customers. Wilson believes that cell phone signal repeaters are an important asset for consumers who live in or work in areas where coverage may not be optimal. The company also aims at creating the best boosters on the market.

Wilson’s new partner, the largest U.S. mobile network provider and market leader in 4G technology, Verizon Wireless, shares the company’s ambition to protect and provide reliable 3G and 4G networks while offering the consumer the opportunity to further enhance its signal reception.

Regarding the partnership, Joe Banos, Chief Operating Officer stated:

“In a collaborative effort, Wilson Electronics and Verizon Wireless have agreed upon new technical specifications for consumer cellular boosters, which the two companies have filed jointly in response to the FCC’s signal booster NPRM. Wilson feels the joint proposal is a win-win for both consumers and cellular carriers. Boosters meeting new stricter design standards can ensure that private users as well as government agencies can continue to have reliable service in areas where signal coverage may not be optimal due to terrain or economics. The new standards will also ensure that carriers’ networks will be protected from cell site interference, which poorly built boosters might cause.

“We commend the FCC and its Commissioners for understanding the value cellular signal boosters provide to the public, and the need that exists to have higher standards placed on booster manufacturers in order to prevent interference with the cellular networks. Wilson believes that its collaboration with Verizon Wireless was only possible because the regulatory framework for signal boosters was skillfully constructed by the Commission to evenly balance the interests of consumers, manufacturers and carriers.

“In addition, we would like to commend Verizon Wireless for diligently and productively working on proposed specifications with Wilson Electronics and for sharing the common goal of bringing the best signal boosting solutions to market for the consumers. We also believe that if the technical specifications in the proposal have been deemed sufficient by Verizon Wireless to protect its cellular networks, they should be deemed sufficient to protect all cellular networks.”

Wilson Electronics welcomes its new partner Verizon Wireless and believes that the partnership will benefit the cell phone booster industry overall by achieving higher standards and better satisfying consumer needs.

Wilson/Verizon jointly developed products will be added to our current cell repeaters & amplifiers portfolio (3G, 4G boosters for any type of building configuration) on Quantum Wireless as soon as they are made available.
